NMAC Workers' Compensation Pool

  • Began operations July 1, 1987

  • Provides medical and lost time coverage for all county employees, including temporary employees

  • Does not provide coverage for contract employees and volunteers

  • Provides coverage for 29 counties

  • Returned millions of dollars to pool counties for low claims
