This position provides administrative support for the Community Services Department and the Community Services Director. The position will be the primary point of contact for the Community Services department and must maintain a positive and professional attitude under all circumstances. The position will handle a heavy volume of incoming telephone calls and direct them as needed, build spread sheets, track the revenues and expenditures of grants, apply for grant reimbursements, relay messages, assist the indigent program as needed, greet and assist customers for the Community Services Department. The position will prepare minutes for Planning and Development Advisory Committee meetings, Lodger’s Tax committee meetings and help prepare agendas for various meetings. The position will maintain balance sheets and budget sheets for the Lodger’s Tax and assist in tracking incoming applications and outgoing re-imbursements. The position will assist in tracking and maintaining all business licensing and RV/Workforce Camp licensing records. Respond to the concerns of callers within the scope of knowledge. This employee will need a basic understanding of ordinances, resolutions and agreements; invoices and budgeting. This employee must be a self-starter, reliable, detail oriented, and professional with excellent customer service skills. Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision. Must be experienced in basic and intermediate office procedures, intermediate to advanced computer experience; must be able to work on a variety of assignments in a busy office environment with multiple interruptions. Employee must be able to attend out of town training and meetings when necessary, as well as, run errands if needed. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
