Under general supervision the Detention Director reports to the Taos County Deputy County Manager – Administration and/or Taos County Manager and is responsible to perform a variety of executive administrative and managerial duties related to planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Adult Detention Center.  The Director leads, directs and supervises reporting personnel, including work procedures, workloads, and work schedules by directing the workflow in such a manner as to promote productive efficiency of employees, a safe working environment, and managing the work unit in keeping up with applicable laws and Taos County’s policies and guidelines.
