New Mexico Counties hosts the Better Informed Public Officials (BIPO) Conference, every even year at the end of November or the first part of December. This conference focuses on the education of newly elected officials who take office January 1st of each odd year. They have opportunities to learn from their peers, earn credit toward certificates in specific fields, and leave with a better knowledge of their respective duties of office. In addition to newly elected officials, veteran officials, county managers, and county deputies are encouraged to attend.
