Employee will be responsible for the handling and maintaining of inmate records while ensuring strict confidentiality, primarily in the booking area to assure proper processing, and release of inmates from the ECDC, criminal complaints, warrants, medical, and arrest sheets, etc. This process includes all data entry that is essential for the proper care and incarceration of inmates. Employee will be responsible for processing bonds, recording all monies, and processing inmates’ personal property for storage. Employee must maintain professional interactions and cooperate with law enforcement agencies, judiciary agencies and the general public as necessary. Employee will be responsible for records maintenance which includes NCIC checks, billing records, data collections, fingerprint cards, state tracking numbers, and all other criminal records, along with the jail and court docket rosters. Employee must maintain good personal relations, safety practices, discipline, and consult with superiors on matters affecting the work of the department. Employee must have good organizational skills and must perform all duties with minimal supervision and must be able to communicate with Officers and Inmates. Employee must be detail-oriented and be able to handle stressful situations while maintaining a positive attitude. Employee will be required to work rotating shift hours, and may be required to attend job-related meetings in and out of town and other duties as assigned.
