The incumbent is responsible for operating a wide variety of gasoline or diesel-powered construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction to cut, move, dig, grade and roll earth, sand, stone, and other materials. This position is responsible for the operation of equipment to rough specifications. May intermittently operate medium-duty equipment and perform various semi-skilled duties related to road construction and maintenance.
