Loss Prevention Trainings

There are educational trainings specifically geared for law enforcement and detention operations designed to improve the knowledge, skills, and abilities employees need to possess to perform specific jobs, reduce liability, and obtain professional development. 

Our Loss Prevention Department also offers courses and onsite inspections that teach county members the risks and causes of incidents in their facilities and that help expand their understanding of supervision, management, and other skills. ONLINE- Road Ready Safe Driving Instructor Development @ ONLINE TRAINING

This course will be held on both days from 9am to 12pm

Technical Requirements:

This training will be conducted via AnyMeeting. No software download is required, however participants are required to have the following:

  • A stable internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • Speakers and a microphone – built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth (note: you can use the microphone and receiver built into your smart phone, however, earphones with a microphone are recommended)

Online – First Line Supervisor Class 1 Day 1 of 5 @ Albuquerque, NM

Limited seating is available. This course is, NMLEA accredited, 40 hours, one day a week, for the following dates: April 27, 2021, May 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th, 2021. This course is designed for newly promoted and aspiring sworn personnel working in a first-line capacity.

Online – Effective Employee Discipline Training @ AnyMeetings Website

This Training is intended for any county supervisor or manager, human resources, and county managers. This training will provide the keys to correct poor performance in a fair and equitable manner without inviting litigation. Participants will come away with a better understanding of the role of discipline and when it is warranted; progressive discipline and determining the appropriate discipline; drafting effective disciplinary documents; conducting predetermination (Loudermill) hearings and understanding the principles of due process; the importance of treating employees fairly & consistently; the roles of the supervisor/manager; HR, and legal in the disciplinary process, and the keys to avoiding liability when imposing disciplinary action.

Students must already be certified in CPR before registering for class. Students must also take and pass an online class before attending live-online instructor development.
